THERAPIST
Kilexyus Moore
DESCRIPTION

Kilexyus Moore is a compassionate therapist specializing in affirming, trauma-informed care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, and older adults. With four years of clinical experience, she understands the unique challenges her clients face—from navigating discrimination and identity development to processing racial trauma and managing life transitions. Kilexyus creates a therapeutic space where clients' identities are celebrated and centered, not something to work around.
Her approach is deeply person-centered and honors each client's lived experience. Kilexyus helps individuals find balance between sitting in discomfort and growing in authenticity, recognizing that healing doesn't require rushing through pain or forcing change. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused interventions, always through a culturally sensitive lens.
Kilexyus earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2023 and provides telehealth services throughout Virginia and DC. She works with adults and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions. Supervised by Tierra Hereford, LCSW, Kilexyus is committed to providing care that affirms who you are and supports you in building the life you deserve.

THERAPIST
Jamila Williams
DESCRIPTION

Jamila believes healing happens when people feel truly seen and understood. Her work creates a space where clients can be honest about the hard stuff—sitting with difficult emotions together and learning to express them in ways that move them forward.
Jamila specializes in sex education and wellness, helping clients reconnect with their bodies and emotions after trauma. She integrates somatic practices (currently training as a yoga instructor) with traditional talk therapy to support whole-person healing. Her approach is particularly valuable for clients navigating relationship patterns, intimacy challenges, and self-expression.
Jamila's philosophy is simple: therapy is like tending a garden. Sometimes we need to clear away what no longer serves us, water the parts we've neglected, and create space for new growth. She works with individuals and couples who are ready to cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Outside the therapy room, Jamila is an avid art lover, glassblowing enthusiast, and passionate about carnivorous plants—hobbies that reflect her belief in nurturing, patience, and growth.
